Article by Kay Mann of GreenEnergyMaine.com, "Environmental & Energy Legislative Update 2015".

In 2015, the Maine Legislature considered a diverse portfolio of energy and environmental bills related to energy efficiency, solar energy, wind permitting, land conservation, water quality, mining regulations, and many other topics. E2Tech is bringing policy, environmental, business, and legislative leaders together to discuss recent legislation and look ahead at interpretation and implementation of the new laws.

A dynamic legislative session, a change in leadership at the Maine DEP, and an experienced panel of policy, business, and environmental and energy leaders – a great way to wind down the summer!

Speakers include:

  • Senator David Woodsome - Senate Co-Chair, Energy, Utilities and Technology Committee
  • Rep. Joan Welsh - House Co–Chair, Environment & Natural Resources Committee
  • Avery Day - Senior Policy Advisor, Governor’s Energy Office; Acting Commissioner, Maine Department of Environmental Protection
  • Dana Connors, President – Maine State Chamber of Commerce
  • Beth Ahearn, Political Director – Maine Conservation Voters (speaker presentation available here)

1.5 hours of CLE credit available to Maine State Bar Association Members. MSBA members are also eligible to attend at E2Tech member price of $15. Please contact Jeff Marks at jeffmarks@e2tech.org to register.

Agenda:
