Maine has a diverse mix of energy sources - biomass, hydro, wind, solar, and now tidal - but petroleum, in its various liquid and gaseous forms, dominates the energy market with about 70% of heating and nearly 100% of our transportation needs.
E2Tech, in collaboration with the Maine Energy Marketers Association (MEMA) is pleased to present a panel discussion on how petroleum use in Maine is affected by local, regional, national, and international market forces and industry evolution to assist us with decision-making here in Maine. Topics will include recent science and technology changes in the oil and gas industry that have dramatically changed petroleum supplies, how these supplies are affecting the economics of petroleum, and changes in transportation infrastructure that are being driven by those market factors.
A panel of petroleum industry experts will examine Maine's market in the context of regional, national, and global circumstances and how it affects the State's policies, businesses, and homeowners.
