Technology & New Energy Municipal Conference 2020

  • Tuesday, April 28, 2020
  • Augusta Civic Center

Tuesday, April 28th - Augusta Civic Center

Sponsored by: Maine Municipal Association and the Maine GIS User Group

BIGGER AND BETTER! The Maine Municipal Association in 2020 expands its annual technology event to become the Municipal Technology & New Energy Conference. We will continue to honor technology topics such as internet access and broadband, cyber security, GIS tools and website development. MMA will also provide a new energy “track” of workshops looking at solar power, LED lighting conversion, electric fleet vehicles – and more.

Keynote Address: The State of Broadband in Maine
Nick Battista, Senior Policy Officer, Island Institute and ConnectME Authority Board Member
The issue remains a high priority: The quality of broadband Internet service remains pivotal throughout the state, as Maine competes in the global economic development marketplace. So, how’s it going? How are Mainers being served in cities like Augusta, Bangor and Portland, but also in rural areas and on island communities? What new idea and projects are out there to serve as educational examples?
