We are building an exciting new green industry in Maine and looking for a motivated and versatile Office & Administrative Manager in our Portland headquarters office. We are seeking an experienced candidate who is a driven self-starter, possesses excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal relationship skills, and who is adaptable, flexible and able to adjust to a rapidly changing business environment. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience using QuickBooks or a similar system, and experience with basic website and social media platform maintenance.

Executive Director - Clean Energy New Hampshire

The Executive Director (ED) will be responsible for coordinating all CENH operations, out of our current office location in Concord NH, or remotely as necessary, due to pandemic public health guidelines. This includes managing staff, budgeting and financial management, member relations, organizational development, fundraising, policy development and advocacy, outreach, events, and other initiatives related to advocacy and education on sustainable energy in NH. The Executive Director reports directly to and is an ex officio voting member of a 13-member Board of Directors (Board). In addition, the ED will work closely with the staff members and CENH’s many working groups and collaborators. CENH manages the Local Energy Solutions Work Group and its annual conference, Drive Electric NH, co-organizes NH’s Annual Energy Week, and oversees other working groups and issue-specific initiatives.

Energy Analyst - Competitive Energy Services (CES)

CES is seeking applications for the role of Energy Analyst. After an initial training period, spent  assisting other team members on projects, Energy Analysts are assigned to work as part of a team  serving specific clients. Analysts are responsible for work product arising from their assigned clients,  which may include:  

• Modeling energy consumption and utility rate tariffs on behalf of clients. • Forecasting energy budgets and preparing various use projections. 

• Preparing materials for client meetings. 

• Acting as a point of contact for clients, energy suppliers and project developers. • Monitoring energy markets and preparing periodic reports. 

• Energy policy and regulatory research and impact analysis.  

• Performing project impact analysis including fuel switching or renewable energy systems. • Greenhouse gas accounting and sustainability planning.

Climate & Energy Summer Internships - Governor's Office of Policy Innovation (GOPIF)

Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation (GOPIF) and the Future and the Governor’s Energy Office (GEO) have a limited number of paid internship positions available for the summer of 2021. Interns for GOPIF/GEO work on a variety of projects to support the strategic initiatives of the offices, in particular implementation of the state’s climate action plan, Maine Won’t Wait. These positions are full-time, paid summer position (up to 300 hours) and run over an 8-to-10-week period between June-August. Given continued caution due to the COVID-19 pandemic, these positions are anticipated to be primarily virtual for the summer of 2021. Laptops and other associated technology to facilitate virtual work will be provided.
GEO/GOPIF welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds; prior coursework, employment, internships, volunteering, or other experience related to climate and energy are welcome, but not required.

NST is seeking a Commercial Solar Sales Representative to identify, contact, and sell Net Metering / Offtaker Agreements to qualified businesses, schools, municipalities, and nonprofit organizations throughout northern New England.  This position is intended to focus primarily in the state of Maine, though opportunities may exist in New Hampshire and Vermont as well.  The ideal candidate will be someone who is a highly-organized, self-motivated individual with the ability to utilize their existing relationships and do extensive outreach for new opportunities. Interest in renewables and solar energy is preferred but experience in these fields is not a requirement. The Commercial Solar Sales Representative will work remotely from a home office initially due to COVID-19, but may be brought into our Brunswick, ME office at a future date.
