Award Categories:

1.  Policymaker of the Year Award

Recognizes a Maine elected official whose leadership has made clean energy a real priority for real people. This is the signature anchor award of the evening.

2.  Mayor of the Year Award

Honors a Maine mayor who has made bold, tangible clean energy commitments for their city or town.

3.  Grid Resilience Champion Award

Recognizes a utility leader, engineer, or municipality building a stronger and cleaner grid for Maine.

4.  Workforce Innovation Award

For a training program, union, community college, or employer creating clean energy jobs for Mainers.

5.  Energy Infrastructure Award

Recognizes a company, project, or leader advancing the infrastructure Maine needs to reach its clean energy goals.

6.  Lifetime Achievement in Clean Energy

The most prestigious individual honor of the evening. For someone whose career has been defined by advancing clean energy over decades. This is the award that brings the room to its feet.

7.  Large Business Innovator of the Year

Recognizes a major Maine employer or corporation making significant clean energy investments or breakthroughs.

8.  Small Business Innovator of the Year

For the scrappy, brilliant small businesses doing real clean energy work on the ground in Maine.

9.  Municipal Leadership Award

For a Maine town, selectboard, or municipality as an entity making bold clean energy commitments.

10.  Community Impact Award

For an individual, nonprofit, or grassroots organization bringing clean energy solutions to Maine communities that need them most.

Unsung Hero Awards (Separate Category)

Five Unsung Hero Awards will be presented as a dedicated segment separate from the main gala awards. These honors recognize linemen, installers, weatherization workers, community organizers, and others who made something real happen and have never been celebrated for it.
